Embodily = Physical Philosophy
My theory of Physical Philosophy builds on the concept of the embodied self as mind and body connected, addressed in my senior thesis for Bryn Mawr College: Physical Philosophy: Embodied Wellness. Our intersection as humans within society influences our behaviors, and by recognizing our moral obligation to care for our selves, we can achieve wellness and thereby increased potential for happiness.

Lessons I learned from our renovation
Make a budget first and foremost, include a contingency fund in case you run into something unexpected.
Make a list of must haves and would likes. List them in order of importance. Get the quote for each line item so you can weigh if the cost is worth it.
When you make a contract with a contractor make sure you line item all the details. If you expect something, have it clearly written in your contract so that there can be no mistake as to what is included in the price you agree on. If items get added, make sure you add them in to your contract.
Malibu Renovation
Our first home was a Malibu luxury ocean view condo with the best floor plan in The Pointe complex. We upgraded the finishes from dark 20th century style to bright, open inviting spaces.
Ocean views from the living room, kitchen, master bedroom and bath. Large and spacious with tall ceilings throughout, fireplaces in living room & master bath/bedroom, beautiful balcony and patio areas, granite counters in kitchen + oak cabinets, two car finished car garage with laundry inside. Stainless appliances, granite counters and oak cabinetry in kitchen, ceramic tile floors and gorgeous Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, recessed lighting, custom shutters on all windows and dual glazed windows throughout.
